Our May program will be Marketing Sell Sheets for writers, published or not, presented by Nancy Parra.

Nancy Parra AKA Nancy Coco AKA Nell Hampton is the author of over 35 published novels including five mystery series: The Oregon Honeycomb Mystery Series (Kensington), The Candy-Coated Mysteries (Kensington), The Kensington Palace Mystery Series (Crooked Lane), and The Gluten-free Baker’s Treat Mysteries (Berkley Prime Crime), just to name a few. She has over 30 years of experience in marketing for small businesses, including websites, graphics, sell sheets, blogs, advertising tags, and more.

Nancy will show us how to focus our books in one handy reference piece/brochure. This is a workshop so come prepared to write. We'll practice writing, how to write and use an elevator pitch, creating a back cover blurb, an inside cover piece, cover, bio, and QR code to our websites.

Visitors welcome!

Our monthly in-person programs include education about both the craft of writing and the business of publishing.

All MRW members have access to our private IO Email Group. This communication tool is used for MRW announcements, member questions, and between-meeting discussions. Our members enjoy weekly motivational quotes, accountability, and the ability to keep each other up to date on good news.

We feature frequent open critique sessions and all members have the opportunity to join a critique small-group which meets on a regular basis.
